Died 28th August 1962, aged 82

Attended Percy Oakden's classes in construction, drawing and architecture at the Melbourne Working Men's College
Received further lectures in architecture under Anketell Henderson at the University of Melbourne

Served on the R.V.I.A. Council for 15 years
Served on many committees during his time as a councillor, particularly in educational areas.
Represented R.V.I.A. on the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Melbourne
Member of the R.A.I.A. Council for 6 years

Port Authority Building (1929-31) was awarded the R.V.I.A. Street Architecture Medal
